HRRN LAUNCHES MORE THAN 20 HOURS OF KENTUCKY DERBY COVERAGE TUESDAY MORNING
 
Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY and radio partner of the 2016 Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, announced Monday they will broadcast live from Churchill Downs beginning Tuesday, May 3 launching more than 20 hours of Kentucky Derby week programming which culminates on Saturday, May 7 with exclusive coverage of the 142nd Kentucky Derby presented by Yum! Brands produced in partnership with NBC Sports and Westwood One from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. ET.
 
HRRN’s coverage kicks off with the network’s popular ‘Derby Countdown Show’ hosted live from the Churchill Downs backside. The Derby Countdown presented by Lexington, KY area Jimmy John’s features interviews with owners, trainers and jockeys of Kentucky Derby contenders as well as real time trackside reports of Kentucky Oaks and Derby horses on the track each morning. The shows can be heard from 8-10 a.m. ET Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings on select HRRN affiliates with live streaming and podcasts of each show available on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.
 
Tuesday evening, HRRN will once again broadcast live from the KTA-KTOB Kentucky Derby Trainers Dinner from 7:30-9:30 p.m. ET. Coverage will be available via live streaming and podcast on the HRRN site.
Wednesday, fans can join HRRN for live coverage of the Kentucky Derby Post Position Draw from 5-6 p.m. ET presented by TwinSpires.com. Draw coverage is available throughout North America on Sirius channel 220/XM 206 and streamed live on the HRRN website.
 
Live coverage of the 142nd Longines Kentucky Oaks highlights Friday’s programming from 3-6 p.m. ET on Sirius 220/XM 206 with live streaming provided on the HRRN website. Oaks coverage is presented by TwinSpires.com.
HRRN’s full Derby day schedule begins with a special Kentucky Derby edition of the network’s popular weekly talk show, the Equine Forum, from 8-10 a.m. ET presented by Farmpaint.com. Listeners can tune in to the Equine Forum on SiriusXM channel 93 and on terrestrial affiliates across the country as well as on the HRRN site.
 
The Equine Forum will be followed by live coverage of the Derby day undercard stakes presented by TwinSpires.com begins at 2:00 p.m. ET with HRRN’s coverage of the 142nd Kentucky Derby produced in partnership with NBC Sports and Westwood One starting at 5:00 p.m. ET.
