148th BELMONT STAKES LIVE ON HRRN SATURDAY
 
Coverage to include pair of Breeders’ Cup Challenge races on Belmont undercard
 
Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY and official radio home of the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, announced today they will return to Belmont Park in Elmont, NY to provide exclusive radio coverage of the 148th Belmont Stakes this Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET.
 
HRRN‘s on-site broadcast includes 5 graded stakes on the Belmont day undercard, including the Grade 1 Metropolitan Handicap, a ‘Win and You’re In’ for the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile and the Grade 1 Ogden Phipps, offering the winner an automatic berth into the Breeders’ Cup Distaff.
 
Undercard coverage is presented by Barbados Tourism at www.visitbarbados.org and can be heard throughout North America on SiriusXM channel 93 as well as on select HRRN affiliates with live streaming available on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.
 
Beginning at 5:00 p.m. ET, HRRN segues into coverage of the 148th Belmont Stakes produced in partnership with NBC Sports and Westwood One. Listeners can tune in on affiliates in more than 175 markets across the United States as well as on SiriusXM channel 93 and streaming live on the HRRN website. HRRN streaming can be accessed on computers, smart phones and mobile devices.
 
HRRN’s Mike Penna will anchor the broadcasts along with analyst Kurt Becker. Jude Feld, Jeff Bloom and Tom Leach will provide trackside reports and interviews. NBC announcer Larry Collmus will have the live call of the races.

In addition to the live race coverage Saturday afternoon, HRRN begins their Belmont day schedule with a special Belmont Stakes edition of the network’s popular weekly talk show, The Equine Forum presented by Woodbine Entertainment. The Equine Forum can be heard from 8:00-10:00 a.m. ET on SiriusXM channel 93, select HRRN affiliates and on the network’s website.
 
Additional HRRN programming during Belmont week includes Xpressbet Radio from 3:00-6:00 p.m. ET Thursday and Friday afternoon on Sirius 220/XM 206 and streaming on the HRRN website. Xpressbet Radio will be followed at 6:00 p.m. ET by the Brisnet.com Call In Show on Thursday and the Xpressbet Weekend Stakes Preview on Friday.
