HRRN “LIVE SPORTS RADIOS” AVAILABLE TO FANS ATTENDING BREEDERS’ CUP AT SANTA ANITA

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY and official radio home of the 2016 Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, announced today the debut of an innovative new way for fans attending this year’s Breeders’ Cup at Santa Anita to enhance their on-track experience.

Beginning Friday, fans can stop by one of two HRRN kiosks located inside each of Santa Anita’s admission gates to pick up a free “Live Sports Radio.” With the radios, fans can listen HRRN’s award-winning coverage of every Breeders’ Cup race along with special Breeders’ Cup interviews and analysis.

For the first time, HRRN’s broadcasts will be available in both English and Spanish. English coverage can be heard on channel 1 with Spanish coverage airing on channel 2.

“Live Sports Radios are extremely popular at major golf tournaments and premier sporting events such as the Super Bowl,” said HRRN President Mike Penna. “Giving fans the opportunity to hear exclusive content while on-site, not only enhances the race day experience, but also provides racetracks with a unique and highly targeted approach to reach fans attending the event and ultimately a powerful tool to help increase handle. It’s a win-win for fans, horsemen, the track and the event.”

“We are truly honored to be part of the race day experience at Santa Anita, and look forward to connecting attendees on-site directly to the HRRN team”, said Jim Knapp, President of Live Sports Radio. “Once Breeders Cup fans have the opportunity to take in race day with the benefit of HRRN in their ear, they will be forever changed.”

HRRN will distribute the radios throughout both championship days beginning on Friday morning, however, supplies are limited so patrons are encouraged to pick up their radio when they arrive. The Live Sports Radio can be used both Friday and Saturday with each radio converting to a standard FM radio once the event is concluded.

HRRN’s exclusive Breeders’ Cup coverage begins Friday at 2:00 p.m. PT with Saturday’s broadcast starting at Noon PT. HRRN will provide additional programming on the radios prior to the start of their live race coverage each day.
