HRRN ANNOUNCES PREAKNESS SCHEDULE

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, Kentucky and official radio home of the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, announced Tuesday, they will broadcast the 142nd running of $1.5 million Preakness Stakes (G1) live from Pimlico Racecourse in Baltimore, Maryland, Saturday, May 20.

Coverage of the second jewel in the Triple Crown begins Wednesday, May 17, with the Maryland Horse Industry Spotlight Show beginning at 4:00 PM ET, followed by the Preakness Post-Position Draw at 5:00 PM ET. Both shows are sponsored by the Maryland Horse Breeders’ Association and can be heard on Sirius 219/XM 206 and streaming live on www.horseracingradio.net.

Friday, May 19, HRRN’s popular Xpressbet Radio Show will cover the historic Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (G2) and undercard races beginning at 3:00 PM ET. Anthony Stabile and Kristina McManigell will bring fans all the action on Sirius 219/XM 206 and streaming live on www.horseracingradio.net.

Equine Forum, “the show that launched a network,” kicks off Preakness Day festivities, Saturday May 20, at 8:00 AM ET, live from Pimlico. Mike Penna and Jude Feld will be joined by Jeff Bloom and Sean Clancy with interviews and updates on the big race. That show will be broadcast nationwide on Sirius 219/XM 206 along with terrestrial affiliates across the country and streamed live on www.horseracingradio.net.

The Preakness Day undercard show commences at 2:00 PM ET on Sirius/XM 93. Anthony Stabile will anchor the coverage with Dan Mason’s analysis. It will also be streamed on the HRRN website. Pimlico track announcer Dave Rodman will provide the race calls.

At 5:00 PM ET, the broadcast of the 142nd Preakness Stakes (G1) begins with Mike Penna hosting the coverage alongside Jude Feld and analysts Jeff Bloom and Sean Clancy reporting trackside. Baltimore native, Larry Collmus, “The Voice of the Triple Crown,” will call the Preakness for the seventh straight year. The broadcast can be heard on Sirius/XM93, terrestrial affiliates from coast to coast and streaming live on www.horseracingradio.net.
