150th TRAVERS STAKES TO BE BROADCAST LIVE ON HRRN SATURDAY

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, Kentucky and official radio home of the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, announced Thursday, they will provide exclusive radio coverage of the 150th running of the $1.25 million Runhappy Travers Stakes (G1) this Saturday.
 
The network’s 3-hour broadcast of the “Mid-Summer Derby” will air throughout North America from 3-6 p.m. ET on SiriusXM channel 156 and will be streamed live to a worldwide audience on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.
 
Coverage, presented by Red Brand Fence, visitbarbados.org and Breeders’ Cup, will also include a trio of major stakes races on the Travers undercard; the Ballston Spa (G2), Personal Ensign (G1) and Sword Dancer (G1). Three additional Grade 1 stakes, the Forego, Ballerina and H. Allen Jerkens Memorial presented by Runhappy will be aired on taped delay. The Ballerina, Personal Ensign and Sword Dancer are Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” events. Post time for the Travers (G1) is 5:44 PM ET.
 
Anthony Stabile will anchor the broadcast alongside analyst Mike Beer with Saratoga and NBC track announcer Larry Collmus providing the live call of each race.
HRRN begins their Travers day coverage Saturday morning with a special edition of their popular weekly talk show, the Equine Forum presented by Red Brand Fence. The show, hosted by Mike Penna and Jude Feld, features interviews with special guests to preview the day’s stakes races.
 
Listeners can tune in to the Equine Forum from 8-10 a.m. ET nationwide on Sirius 219/XM 201 along with terrestrial affiliates across the country and is streamed live and podcast on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.
