Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY and official radio home of the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, announced Thursday, their schedule for Saturday’s live coverage of the 160th Queen’s Plate from Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto.  The broadcast, presented by Hill ‘n’ Dale Farms and Twin Spires, can be heard throughout North America on SiriusXM 156 from 4-6 p.m. ET.  In addition, listeners around the world can tune-in via live streaming available on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.

2019 marks the fourth consecutive year HRRN will provide the exclusive radio broadcast of the first jewel in Canada’s Triple Crown.  The network’s broadcast of the 2018 “Gallop for the Guineas” was recognized with a Sovereign Award earlier this year.

In addition to the Queen’s Plate, the broadcast features $175,000 Dance Smartly (G2) for fillies and mares going a mile and a quarter on the grass and the $300,000 Highlander (G1) for three-year-old and up at 6 furlongs on the turf.  Saturday afternoon’s classic event, the $1 million Queen’s Plate, rounds out the coverage with a scheduled post time of 5:36 p.m. ET.

HRRN will also host a special Queen’s Plate edition of their popular weekly talk show, the Equine Forum, live from Woodbine on Saturday morning from 8:00-10:00 a.m. ET.  The Equine Forum, presented by Woodbine Entertainment, airs nationwide on Sirius 219/XM 201 along with terrestrial affiliates across the country and is streamed live and podcast on the HRRN website.

Mike Penna will anchor the coverage alongside analyst Jude Feld and retired Canadian Classic winning jockey Gerry Olguin.  Fort Erie television personality Ashley Mailloux will join the HRRN team to provide trackside reports and interviews with Woodbine announcer Robert Geller handling the call of each race.
