DIANA (G1) KICKS OFF “SATURDAYS AT SARATOGA” COVERAG
HORSE RACING RADIO NETWORK SERIES PRESENTED BY VISITBARBADOS.ORG
Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, Kentucky and official radio home of the U.S. Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, announced Thursday, their popular “Saturdays at Saratoga” series, presented by VisitBarbados.org, will commence Saturday, July 13 with the historic Diana (G1), live from Saratoga Racecourse in Saratoga Springs, New York.
HRRN will be on-site at the “Spa” every Saturday throughout the 2019 season to provide exclusive radio coverage of the meet’s premier stakes races including the Jim Dandy (G2), Whitney (G1) and Travers (G1).
Saturday’s inaugural show begins at 5:00 PM ET with the broadcast of the $500,000 Diana (G1) for fillies and mares going a mile and an eighth on the grass. Host Anthony Stabile will be joined by analyst Mike Beer of Daily Racing Form on the coverage, with Saratoga track announcer Larry Collmus providing the race call. The series airs throughout North America on Sirius/XM channel 156 and will be streamed live on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.
A special Travers (G1) day edition, Saturday, August 24, sponsored by Red Brand Fence, will air on Sirius/XM156.
HRRN’s weekly talk show, the Equine Forum, kicks off this Saturday’s coverage, featuring interviews with some of the major players in thoroughbred racing, from 8-10 a.m. ET. It can be heard nationwide on Sirius 219/XM 201 along with terrestrial affiliates across the country and is streamed live and podcast on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.
