HRRN BEGINS 2020 RACE BROADCAST SEASON SATURDAY WITH PEGASUS WORLD CUP AND PEGASUS WORLD CUP TURF

Coverage to air nationwide on Sirius 219/XM 201        

 

Two days after receiving their second Eclipse Award for coverage of the 2019 Breeders’ Cup, Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN) will begin their 17th consecutive year of providing live on-site broadcasts of major stakes races from tracks across the country with exclusive radio coverage of the $3 million Pegasus World Cup (G1) and $1 million Pegasus World Cup Turf (G1).

 

HRRN’s 2-hour broadcast, presented by Red Brand Fence and the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association, will be hosted live from Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, FL and can be heard throughout North America from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. ET on Sirius 219/XM 201 with worldwide streaming provided on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net

 

HRRN president Mike Penna will anchor the coverage along with analysts Bobby Neuman and Dan Mason.  Gulfstream announcer Pete Aiello will provide the live call of each race.

 

Listeners can hear additional Pegasus World Cup conversation by tuning in to HRRN’s popular weekly talk show, the Equine Forum presented by Red Brand Fence, hosted live from Gulfstream on Saturday morning from 8:00-10:00 a.m. ET.  The Equine Forum airs nationwide on Sirius 219/XM 201 along with terrestrial affiliates across the country and is streamed live and podcast on the HRRN website. 

 

The network’s 2020 race broadcast schedule consists of more than 90 graded stakes including all three legs of the Triple Crown and the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.  HRRN’s broadcast of the Kentucky Derby and Triple Crown races will once again be produced in partnership with NBC Sports and Westwood One, while this year also marks the 14th consecutive year HRRN has been the exclusive radio home of the Breeders’ Cup.

 

In addition to their live race broadcasts, HRRN produces 14 hours of horse racing talk shows each week which are available live on Sirius 219/XM 201 and via podcast archive at www.horseracingradio.net.
