HRRN BEGINS MORE THAN 19 HOURS OF BREEDERS’ CUP COVERAGE TUESDAY LIVE FROM CHURCHILL DOWNS

 

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY and official radio home of the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, begins more than 19 hours of live Breeders’ Cup programming Tuesday morning from Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY culminating with exclusive radio coverage of all 14 Championship races Friday and Saturday afternoon.

 

The network’s week-long coverage launches Tuesday morning from 8-10 a.m. ET with the first of three Breeders’ Cup Countdown shows presented by Hill n’ Dale Farm and Lexington, Kentucky area Jimmy John’s.  HRRN’s Anthony Stabile and Jude Feld will host the Countdown shows live from the Red Brand Tent located on the backside of Churchill Downs.  Each show featured interviews with owners, trainers, breeders, jockeys and handicappers as well as trackside training reports on Breeders’ Cup contenders. 

 

Listeners can tune in to the Breeders’ Cup Countdown show Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning on SiriusXM channel 205, locally on HANK 96.1 FM in Lexington and online at www.horseracingradio.net.


On Friday and Saturday, HRRN returns with live coverage of every Breeders’ Cup race presented by visitbarbados.org and Red Brand Fence.

 

Friday’s broadcast can be heard on Sirius 219/XM 201 from 3:00-6:30 p.m. ET with Saturday’s coverage airing from 12:00-6:00 p.m. ET on SiriusXM 205.  In addition, the final two hours of Saturday’s broadcast beginning at 4:00 p.m. ET will be carried on terrestrial affiliates across the country courtesy of Sports USA, a major provider of NFL and college football play by play throughout the season. 

 

Both broadcasts will also be available worldwide via live streaming on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net and at www.sportsusa.com


HRRN President, Mike Penna will anchor the broadcasts alongside analysts

 

Jude Feld and Kurt Becker with Anthony Stabile and NYRA’s Maggie Wolfendale-Morley providing commentary and interviews trackside and from the paddock.  NBC’s Larry Collmus will have the live race calls. 

 

Additional Breeders’ Cup week programming on HRRN includes Xpressbet Radio on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon from 3:00-6:00 p.m. ET, Jock Talk presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka on Tuesday, Trainer Talk presented by Fasig-Tipton on Wednesday and the Brisnet.com Call In Show on Thursday, all airing from 6:00-7:00 p.m. ET.  Friday’s NYRA BETS Weekend Stakes Preview will air following the Breeders’ Cup broadcast from 6:30-7:00 p.m. ET. Each show can be heard live on Sirius 219 and XM 201 along with live streaming and archived podcasts available on the HRRN website.
