HRRN TO BROADCAST LIVE FROM SARATOGA WITH COVERAGE OF WHITNEY, TEST AND FASIG-TIPTON SARATOGA SALE

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, Kentucky and official radio home of the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, announced Thursday, they will broadcast live from Saratoga Race Course with exclusive radio coverage of the historic Whitney Stakes (G1) this Saturday, before shifting their set across Union Avenue to the Humphrey S. Finney Sales Pavilion to provide live coverage of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearling Sale, Monday and Tuesday nights, August 6 and 7.

 

Whitney day coverage kicks off at 8:00 a.m. ET with HRRN’s popular Equine Forum show hosted live from Saratoga with interviews and analysis of the days stakes races.  The show can be heard throughout North America on Sirius 219/XM 201 along with terrestrial affiliates across the country and is streamed live and podcast on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.

 

HRRN’s one-hour broadcast of the 91st Whitney Stakes begins at 5:00 p.m. ET on SiriusXM 83 with live internet streaming also provided on the networks website.  In addition to the Whitney, coverage includes the Grade 1 Test Stakes as part of HRRN’s meet long “Saturdays at Saratoga” series presented by visitbarbados.org.  The winner of the Whitney will earn a spot in the starting gate of the Breeders’ Cup Classic on Saturday, November 3 at Churchill Downs as part of the Breeders’ Cup ‘Win and You’re In’ Challenge series.  Mike Penna will anchor the coverage alongside analysts Jude feld and Mike Beer.  Acacia Courtney will provide trackside reports and interviews with race calls courtesy of NYRA and NBC announcer Larry Collmus.

 

Monday and Tuesday’s coverage of the 98th Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearling Sale begins at

6:30 ET on Monday evening and 7:00 ET on Tuesday.  Presented by EMBRACE THE RACE® and the Maryland Horse Breeders Association, Monday's show will air nationwide on Sirius 98/XM 210 and Tueday's show will air on Sirius 111/XM 210. Both will be streamed live on the HRRN website www.horseracingradio.net and Fasig-Tipton website, www.fasigtipton.com.
