HRRN TEAMS WITH GULFSTREAM PARK TO OFFER TRIP FOR TWO TO 2018 FLORIDA DERBY
 
Contest Begins Saturday with Claiming Crown Broadcast on HRRN
 
Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY and official radio home of the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, returns to Gulfstream Park this Saturday to provide exclusive coverage of the $1.1 million Claiming Crown.
 
HRRN’s coverage begins at 3:30 p.m. ET and can be heard worldwide on the network’s website, www.horseracingradio.net. The broadcast also includes bonus coverage of the Grade 1 Cigar Mile presented by NYRA Bets from Aqueduct.
 
The 19th running of the Claiming Crown marks the beginning of HRRN’s “Road to the Florida Derby” contest offering the grand prize winner a trip for two to the $1 million Xpressbet.com Florida Derby on Saturday, March 31, 2018. Contest rules and entry form are available on the contest page of the HRRN website at www.horseracingradio.net.
 
The Claiming Crown begins an historic Championship meet at Gulfstream Park, highlighted by the Clásico del Caribe being contested outside of the Caribbean and Latin America for the first time on Saturday, December 9, the $16 million Pegasus World Cup on January 27, and the aforementioned Florida Derby on March 31.
 
In addition to Saturday’s race coverage, HRRN will host their popular weekly talk show, the Equine Forum, live from Gulfstream Park starting at 8:00 a.m. ET Saturday morning. The Equine Forum can be heard throughout North America on Sirius 219/XM 206 along with terrestrial affiliates across the country with live streaming provided worldwide on the HRRN website.
 
HRRN returns to Gulfstream Park on January 27, 2018 to provide exclusive radio coverage of the Pegasus World Cup which begins the third consecutive season of HRRN’s “Saturdays at Gulfstream” series featuring live coverage of Gulfstream’s featured stakes race every Saturday through the Florida Derby on Saturday, March 31.
Mike Penna will anchor the broadcasts along with analyst Jude Feld.
