SANFORD (G3) & DIANA (G1) KICK OFF HORSE RACING RADIO NETWORK’S “SATURDAYS AT SARATOGA” COVERAGE

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, Kentucky and official radio home of the U.S. Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, announced Thursday, their popular “Saturdays at Saratoga” series, presented by VisitBarbados.org, will commence Saturday, July 22 with the Grade 3 Sanford Stakes and the Grade 1 Diana Stakes, live from Saratoga Racecourse in Saratoga Springs, New York.
 
HRRN will be on-site at the historic race course every Saturday throughout the 2017 season to provide exclusive radio coverage of the meet’s premier stakes races including the Jim Dandy, Whitney and Travers Stakes.
 
Saturday’s inaugural show begins at 5:30 PM ET with coverage of the $150,000 Sanford (G3) for two-year-olds at six furlongs, followed by the $500,000 Diana (G1) for fillies and mares going a mile and an eighth on the grass. Host Anthony Stabile will be joined by analyst Mike Beer of Daily Racing Form on the coverage, with Saratoga track announcer Larry Collmus providing the race calls. The series airs throughout North America on Sirius/XM channel 93 and will be streamed live on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.
 
A special Travers (G1) day broadcast, Saturday, August 26, sponsored by Sunrise Stallions, will air on Sirius108/XM201.
 
HRRN’s weekly talk show, the Equine Forum, kicks off this Saturday’s coverage, featuring interviews with some of the major players in thoroughbred racing, from 8-10 a.m. ET. It can be heard nationwide on Sirius 219/XM 206 along with terrestrial affiliates across the country and is streamed live and podcast on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.
