HRRN TO CELEBRATE ‘FUSAICHI PEGASUS WEEK’ PRESENTED BY KEENELAND SALES BEGINNING MONDAY, APRIL 28
Special Week Recognizes the Achievements of the 2000 Kentucky Derby Winner
LEXINGTON, KY (April 27, 2025) – Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, announced today they will recognize the achievements of the 2000 Kentucky Derby winner Fusaichi Pegasus beginning on Monday, April 28.
‘Fusaichi Pegasus Week’ presented by Keeneland Sales runs throughout Derby week with HRRN featuring special content across their platform of weekly shows, as well as on the network’s social media pages, website and e-newsletters. Listeners will enjoy replays of his biggest wins along with interviews and conversations looking back on his brilliant racing career.

Consigned by Stone Farm, the son of Mr. Prospector was purchased by Fusao Sekiguchi for $4,000,000 as hip 228 at the 1998 Keeneland July Selected Yearling Sale. Conditioned by Hall of Fame trainer Neil Drysdale, Fusaichi Pegasus captured the Grade 2 San Felipe and Grade 2 Wood Memorial prior to his victory in the 126th Kentucky Derby under Hall of Fame jockey Kent Desormeaux.
Upon his retirement at the end of his 2000 campaign, Fusaichi Pegasus had recorded 6 wins and 2 seconds from 9 lifetime starts with earnings of $1,994,400.
